This blog is information only. There is nothing for sale here and there are no affiliate links.

This blog is dedicate to the folks out there who are not aware of the great MYO CMC movement, who
are smoking those not so great, high cost, no flavor, harsh chemical laden SBC's (store bought cigarettes).
_____________________________________________________________________________________________

When I could no longer get the cigarettes I had been smoking (Native Lights) from the Seneca Nation
in New York. My only option was to pay twice the price for cigarettes I didn't care for. So I started
searching the Internet and stumbled upon the world of MYO - RYO - CMC.

I came across RYO Magazine and RYO Revolution early on and the rest as they say is history.

My average cost before making my own was $5.50 a pack. My average now is $1.43 a pack for great flavor,
smooth premo tobacco. No additives. No fillers (ground up stems and reconstituted tobacco). No FSC
(fire retardant chemicals). That $1.43 a pack includes tobacco, filter tubes and shipping. I also smoke 25% less now, making my cost about $1 a day - $30 a month vs. $165 a month. Dom Perignon for the cost of beer.

I'm not rich by any stretch of the imagination but I can afford $5.50 a day for SBC's. But now after smoking my
own custom made cigarettes, if I had to go back to what I was smoking before I'd quit. A bold statement but true.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Go back to a simpler time when a smoke was just a good smoke. Great tobacco without the garbage.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I went to dozens of web sites looking for the best information, prices and sources for tobacco, tubes and
machines. I purchased about three pounds worth of 1oz.,1.4oz. and 3.5oz. samples of dual purpose pipe
tobacco and 17 different brands of filter tubes to try. As far as injector machines go, most people were saying
just get the Top-O-Matic T2 and be done with it. So I found the best price I could. For now it's only $40.95 at
Amazon and that's what I did ~ Works like a charm. One thing though...it does Not like overly moist tobacco!
And as with most injector machines ~ Fill the corners first & Don't over-fill.

For Upgrade information for the Top-O-Matic T2 go to bottom of page

As far as other injector machines go I haven't spent too much time or money there. The little hand-held's
are a mixed bag. There is one that I like and that's the Pressta Deluxe. I got it as a back-up, it doesn't make
100's but it's easy to use and gives consistant results even with tobacco that is moister than the Top-O-Matic
likes. It's only $5.95 from RYO Cigarette

So one, I have an injector machine that does a good job and that's all I really care about. And two, after trying all the blends my favorite is: the Balkan Gold tobacco blend.

This blend is so good it doesn't seem to matter which filter tubes are used. Light 100's, Full Flavor Kings or Light Kings all give me a truely great smoking experience.

RYO Magazine's new multi-media section got me interested in blending which is the real reason for this blog.
The information here spurred me on to develop the great blends I'm about to share with you. After trying
about everything, the tobacco for my Top Blends come from D&R and Peter Stokkebye Pipe Tobacco.

Digital Scale for Tobacco Blending : This scale is indispensable, I don't know what I would do without it.
I get my tobaccos measured correctly and then I can blend them all in the same measuring bowl. Check it out.

iBalance 2500g the best price I've found ($37.99) is at Amazon. (Ships from and sold by In-Focus Electronics.)

Tobacco Storage Containers: These are the air-tight containers I use for all my tobacco.

CoffeeVac from Tightvac - 1 Pound - 1.85 liter.  Make sure you get the Coffeevac (1.85 liter) rather than the regular Tightvac (1.3 liter). Both are about the same price, but the Coffeevac is a little larger.

1.85 liter Coffeevac...

* For storing Larger amounts of tobacco also see the 10 liter BreadVac from Tightvac.

Upgrading/Fixing the Top-O-Matic T2

Information I got in a couple of emails from Paul Rosenquest.

I Really Like The T2 Top-O-Matic except for this: Part # T2022, Shaft Bushing Breaks and
Shipping is a flat rate of $7.50 when you order 1 or 100 Replacement Parts. I've come up
with a great solution eliminating the plastic T2022 Junk. I have all the equipment needed
to either repair it for you or send you my Improved Brass Shaft Bushing, or send you a kit
w/ Instructions if you want to do it yourself with light, finish Machining. The choice is yours.

And then later.

I am totally redesigning the handle, shaft, bushing, cam, stud, etc.  I will be offering this in
a kit or if you can use a file or Dremel tool, you can install the Brass Bushing, new stud,
and Nylon Sleeve yourself.  Either way, you will be able to run anything through this you
want without fear of breaking.

For more Info,

Call me at 1-814-379-3881 and ask for Paul or email me at pahoopee@yahoo.com.

Thanks,
Paul Rosenquest
